It is noted that an objective decision will be made depending on the outcome of the investigation.

"In connection with this issue, the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan expresses deep regret and condolences to the families of the killed crew members, wishes a speedy recovery to the victims," ​​the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan added.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian Mi-24 helicopter was shot down from MANPADS over the territory of Armenia outside the combat zone near the border with Azerbaijan.

As a result of the incident, two people died, another was injured.

Later, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said that the Azerbaijani side accidentally shot down a Russian Mi-24 helicopter.

Baku has apologized for the tragic incident and added that it is ready to pay compensation to the Russian side.
