Joe Biden seems to stand out in the presidential ballot between him and Donald Trump.

For the journalist and writer Philippe Labro, guest of Europe 1 on Saturday, the attitude of the two candidates to the democratic process is very different, the outgoing president multiplying the questioning of the ballot.

While Joe Biden's victory in the US presidential election appears to be looming, the situation remains tense between the Democratic leader and incumbent President Donald Trump.

Invited on Saturday at the microphone of Europe 1 to share his analysis of the ballot, the writer and journalist Philippe Labro drew very different portraits of the two candidates for the White House.

If he praises the merits of Joe Biden, Philippe Labro still qualifies as "worrying" the transition period which could soon begin.

"Biden respects democracy, Trump constantly violates it," he blurted out.

Clever, careful, intelligent: for Philippe Labro, Joe Biden stands out for his style during this election.

"He plays the game of the election until the end. We do not get ahead of a vote."

In short, he would be the very opposite of his opponent.

As Donald Trump's chances of victory dwindle, the tenant of the White House is stepping up violent attacks and publicly calling into question the democratic process.

"The fact that we are already saying that he will not come to the handover is unprecedented."

The next 77 days "belong to Donald Trump"

The transition period that could follow the results is very uncertain.

Philippe Labro evokes the prospect of a "permanent dispute" of the vote and the multiplication of legal remedies.

Even beaten at the polls, Trump could continue to mobilize his supporters and create disorder: "We are 77 days from the inauguration of January 21, 2021 ... and these 77 days still belong to Donald Trump, he is still in the White House . "

With his experience on the national and international political scene, known as a fine negotiator, Joe Biden will however have to "practice the art of compromise" with the Republicans.
