Biden starts his job "very early" with an urgent mission

US media reports revealed that the US President-elect, Joe Biden, will start the duties of his new position very early, before his official inauguration as President of the United States.

CNN said that Biden will announce on Monday the formation of a 12-member committee to confront the Corona pandemic, which has struck the United States for months.

Three people will jointly lead this panel, they are former General Surgeon Vivek Murthy, former FDA Commissioner David Kessler, and Dr. Marcela Nunez Smith of Yale University.

Biden’s rapid activity indicates the seriousness of his plans to confront the pandemic that has afflicted millions in the United States and made it the most affected country in the world by the disease.

CNN sources said that Biden is not expected to announce the nominations for his cabinet ministers during the next few weeks, as he may wait until the Senate results are clear.

Biden thinks with people with their own eyes in most senior positions, but "the announcement of plans to confront the Corona virus confirms the priority he intends to place in front of this challenge," according to the news network.

And on Friday, the United States recorded more than 127,000 new infections with the new Corona virus within 24 hours, in a record daily toll for the third consecutive day, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.
