The African American lawyer and writer Anthony Kapel "Van Jones", who was in the studio at CNN at the time of the news of the election of Joe Biden as 46th US president, did not hold back tears, live on TV.
CNN was the first major media company to announce the victory of the former vice president, assigning him the 20 great voters of Pennsylvania, which made Biden pass the fateful threshold of 270 electoral votes. Van Jones, an activist often interviewed by the big American networks, he burst into tears with emotion at the announcement.
"Today it is easier to be a father, today it is easier to tell your son that it is important to be honest, today it is easier for many in this country," he said through tears.
