366 employers in Jämtland and Västernorrland and more than 1000 employees throughout Sweden have responded to a survey.

The report shows that there is a clear difference in how employers and employees view continued teleworking after the pandemic.

- 71 percent of entrepreneurs do not want to continue working remotely, but among employees, as many as 96 percent want to continue working more or less remotely even after the pandemic, says Maria Svensson Wiklander at Godmorgon Östersund.

Difficult with quick adjustment

The report also shows that many companies were poorly prepared for teleworking.

To a large extent, the work was organized as if the employee had been at the workplace physically, which many feel has worked rather poorly.

- For example, they lacked good IT tools, both hardware and software, and they had poor knowledge of what responsibility you have as an employer.

There have also been shortcomings in leadership at a distance, says Maria Svensson Wiklander.

How should we work in the future?

96 percent of the employees who responded to the survey were thus positive about continued teleworking in some form.

In the clip above, you can hear why Maria Svensson Wiklander believes that teleworking will become increasingly common in the future.
