During the night until Friday, police were alerted to Jämjö outside Karlskrona after people heard strange noises from the basement of an apartment building.
When the police arrived at the scene, the thieves could be caught red-handed.
In the stairwell, the person who was carrying a number of things was first found.
- It was immediately suspected that there were things that did not belong to him.
It then turns out that at least eight stores have been cut or torn up, says Magnus Hansson at Blekinge Police.
The theft exchange is about everything from watches and clothes to electronics and private documents, the police say.
Another suspected perpetrator was also found in the stairwell shortly after the first person was found.
- One of the guys has also done a house search where they found more goods that they suspect have been stolen.
There are quite a lot of things.
The two men are in their 20s and are now in custody on suspicion of theft.
