06 November 2020 With the new Dpcm, in force from today,

Calabria, Piedmont, Lombardy and Valle d'Aosta

become red zones.

For these regions, considered high-risk, more restrictive anti-Covid measures are envisaged than the rest of Italy and will remain in force for at least 14 days.

Throughout the country there is a limitation of travel from 22 to 5 and distance learning for high schools.

Closed museums, cinemas, theaters, swimming pools and gyms.

Stop betting, gaming and video games.

An urgent information from the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza on the criteria chosen by the government for the definition of the three areas at risk Covid-19 envisaged by the last Dpcm is scheduled shortly.

Yesterday the minister, after having signed the ordinance that inserts the Regions in the 'red' and 'orange' zones, tried to curb the revolt of the presidents, supported "by the whole government" and by scientists.

However, the clash is on: the governors insist on asking for a verification of the data or threatening, as did the acting president of Calabria, Nino Spirlì, to challenge the provision.

In the next few hours the new data will arrive - probably Saturday - relating to the week 26 October-1 November and it is by no means excluded that those who are today in the yellow zone may end up in those where there are more restrictions: at least Campania is at risk, Liguria, Veneto, Tuscany.

Bonaccini: "It's time for responsibility, let's tone it down"

We are all "in a pandemic condition, we all have to respect the rules, we all have a duty to make sure that the measures work. It is time for responsibility and unity, let's prove that we are a great country and we will get out of it sooner and better. ". The governor of Emilia Romagna Stefano Bonaccini, still in isolation, to recover from the coronavirus, of which he has "mild symptoms", says in an interview with Corriere della Sera. Hospitals "could soon reach the limit. There are no report cards to give, but a pandemic to stop," he explains. There is no need "to increase the level of confrontation but rather to work together - he underlines -. Let's listen to President Mattarella and let our tones down". Between the government and the Regions, on the evaluation of data "there are no negotiations, we are not at the transfer market. There are 21 parameters and the related data provided by the territories, evaluated by the experts". Bonaccini would see possible "a level of technical confrontation, from time to time, between the experts of the ministry and those of the Regions involved. We will talk about it with the minister". The governor of Emilia Romagna rejects the suspicion that the Regions may send partial data to avoid the lockdown and points out that there is an obligation "to listen to those who risk closing and never reopening. As Regions, we immediately insisted on restricting measures were accompanied by certain, adequate and immediate refreshments. A refreshment decree-bis is welcome ".

Fontana: "I am not opposed to the red zone, but to evaluate the data"

"I did not say that I did not want to accept the red zone, evaluations are made every week and I demanded that the evaluation be made also this week. in a dramatic moment, from the red zone it is right to stay in the red zone ". This was stated by the president of the Lombardy Region Attilio Fontana on Radio Anch'io on Rai Radio 1.

Milan, less crowded public transport in the morning

In Milan on the first day of the new lockdown there are still many commuters arriving at the Milan Cadorna station from outside city for work. But there is no overcrowding in recent days, no queues at the subway turnstiles or to get on the trams, public transport that now travels with a transport capacity that has been reduced, by the government decree, from 80 to 50%. At the entrance to the station, the police check who must leave and have the self-certification filled out. Commuters who arrived in Milan this morning from outside the city told of "half-empty" trains, which traveled "with much fewer people than yesterday and in recent days", of "very lightened" trains. Even on the subway, on line 1 that goes from Cadorna to Piazza Duomo, no crowds but there are still many people traveling on the wagons, to go to work or to accompany their children to school, as the little ones continue their lessons in person . However, these images are very different from those of the first lockdown in March, when the city was almost completely stopped.
