On July 27, 2018, Mikhail Khachaturyan was killed in a house on Altufevskoe highway.

Three of his daughters - Krestina, Angelina and Maria - confessed to the crime.

They are charged under clause "g" of Part 2 of Art.

105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (Murder committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).

As the investigation found out, since 2015, minors at that time, girls were repeatedly subjected to physical, psychological and sexual violence from their father.

The court found the youngest of the sisters, Maria, insane.

The case concerning the older sisters will be considered by a jury.

At the same time, the injured party - the relatives of the murdered Mikhail Khachaturian - do not appear at the court sessions, which is why the selection of the jury has to be postponed.

The injured party also disputes the results of the examinations on the condition of the girls, accusing the sisters' lawyers of forging medical documents.

RT talked about the progress of the case with Angelina Khachaturian's lawyer Alexei Parshin.

- Why

the injured party

has accused the

mud

you 'ties with the US "and bribery SRI behalf of Serbia?

- Earlier in the case materials, we have already met statements against me and Yaroslav Pakulin (lawyer of Maria Khachaturyan -

RT

), where the victims argued that Yaroslav and I communicated with Aurelia, the girls' mother, more than five years ago.

They allegedly taught her how to kill Mikhail Khachaturian, and were, in their opinion, the organizers of this crime.

The occasion was a video from our lecture on necessary defense, which we read, since we have been dealing with criminal self-defense cases for many years, specializing in this category of cases.

According to the injured party, in this way we teach people to avoid criminal responsibility and allegedly taught this, including either girls or their mother.

Now accusations have arisen that I "regularly fly to the United States for instructions" and is associated with the American special services - in the text of the statement to the police there were even references to articles of this kind.

Obviously, the presidential elections in America affected.

In the same statement, I am accused of bribery of the Serbsky Research Institute to obtain the necessary conclusions in order to “smear” the sisters.

As far as I know, the police have already issued a refusal to initiate proceedings.

Considering that all this is taking place on the eve of the selection of the jury and the beginning of the trial, the goal is also understandable - to put pressure on me and other defenders.

- What is the current position of the victims?

- The victims are not satisfied that the investigation established and proved the facts of committing sexual crimes by Mikhail Khachaturyan against his then underage children.

They are also not satisfied with the conclusions from the Serbian Institute, according to which all three girls were diagnosed with diseases caused by the criminal actions of Mikhail Khachaturian, for example, post-traumatic stress disorder and abuse syndrome.

Hence the accusations of fabricating these conclusions.

In addition, the injured party is trying to prove that the sisters had a selfish motive - the girls allegedly killed their father because of a large amount of money.

The investigation has repeatedly checked this version, but found no trace of the loss of money.

- The court for the third time postponed the selection of the jury in your client's case.

How many times is it permissible to postpone this procedure and what will happen when they are approved?

- The selection of candidates for the jury can be repeated no more often than about once every three to four weeks.

The fact is that the procedure itself is lengthy and is associated with the formation of preliminary lists of candidates for the jury and sending them notifications.

Therefore, we put it off by about a month each time.

Each time there were candidates for the jury in the required number, not less than 40-50 people.

This is enough to gather a board.

But every time the victims, relatives from Mikhail Khachaturian's side, presented some certificates of illnesses, in connection with which they could not appear at the trial.

We filed a petition for abuse of rights and violation of the rights of our clients, because of which we have not yet entered the process.

They also asked the court, firstly, to check all the certificates referred to by the victims in connection with their failure to appear, and secondly, to check whether the diseases indicated in the certificates really hinder their participation in the case.

If they do not interfere, you can demand that the victims be brought to court, since they are legally obliged to participate.

The Moscow City Court considered the petition and, as I understand it, next time it intends to start selecting the jury.

The court made them understand that it was time to stop endless transfers.

As for Maria, her case is considered separately by the Butyrsky Court, since our legislation does not provide for a jury trial for persons who at the time of the act were in a state of insanity.

- Who else, besides the mother, can girls communicate with?

And how are they doing now?

- When I first met with Angelina in the pre-trial detention center in August 2018, she told me that in prison it is better than it was at home.

I still remember these words of hers.

Two months later, the preventive measure was changed to a ban on certain actions and were allowed to live with relatives, but in different apartments.

Since then, the condition of the girls has improved slightly: the absence of constant fear for their lives has affected.

Previously, the girls were completely downtrodden and depressed, now they are more active, more lively.

They were greatly supported by the attitude of the public, the media, the attitude of friends and family.

Their brother Sergei calls up and meets with his mother, comes to the courts to support the sisters.

Several times I saw him at the trials.

Angelina and Maria finished school, and Angelina also managed to work until the trial began.

But the uncertainty and uncertainty of the future is oppressive.

The girls have worked and continue to work with psychologists to relieve acute symptoms.

Since all three constantly return to this situation due to the upcoming trial, this nullifies all the efforts of specialists.

And, of course, the inability to see each other and communicate has a negative effect on their condition, because they used to be together all the time and used to support and help each other.

We hope that communication with a loved one and loved one will have a beneficial effect on their condition and they will be able to endure all the hardships that have fallen on their fragile shoulders.
