On September 14, a man had caused a great panic in Besançon, without causing any injuries.

He was sentenced to ten months in prison, eight of which were suspended on probation Wednesday by the court in the capital of Doubs, reports L'Est Républicain.

At the hearing, the defendant tried to justify the remarks he had made during his hearing, explaining that he had acted "in the name of God".

“I obeyed a voice telling me to turn right, turn left.

»[…] I am religious, but that has nothing to do with what I did.

I regret and I ask for forgiveness, ”said the 46-year-old man, according to the regional daily.

Placed in pre-trial detention since the facts, he left free from the remand center on Wednesday evening.
