Taiwan has exported 52 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia for 8 consecutive days

The Taiwan Epidemic Command Center held a press conference on the 4th to announce that Taiwan has newly confirmed a confirmed case of new coronary pneumonia, a Taiwanese woman in her 20s who has returned from Poland.

This is the 8th consecutive day that Taiwan has recently confirmed patients with new coronary pneumonia.

  According to the Taiwan Epidemic Command Center, since June, Taiwan has successively detected cases exported from Taiwan by other countries and regions. So far, 52 people have been tested positive for the new crown pneumonia virus from Taiwan.

The person in charge of the center said that these positive cases had a total of 1,855 contacts in Taiwan, and the 1,297 people who had to be tested were all negative for antibody antigens, and said that the security of the local epidemic in Taiwan can still be maintained.

  The center pointed out that the global epidemic continues to heat up. Europe and the United States are currently the main epidemic areas. People should avoid all non-essential outbound travel.

The center announced that from November 9th, it will strengthen the entry quarantine measures for "passengers with symptoms in the past 14 days".

Passengers who have entered the country with symptoms or who have had symptoms in the past 14 days must cooperate to collect samples at the airport (or at the hospital after entering the country) and wait for the inspection results at the centralized quarantine site; those with negative results must be at least 24 hours after the first inspection Perform the second inspection.

Those with negative results of the second test and alleviated symptoms can only return home or travel to the epidemic prevention accommodation to continue home quarantine until the expiration date after the doctor’s assessment.

  The command center stated that, as of now, Taiwan has accumulated 102,790 new coronary pneumonia-related notifications (including 101,351 cases excluded), of which 568 have been confirmed, and 7 of the confirmed cases have died.
