The Loire-Atlantique gendarmerie is appealing to the victims of burglaries in the town of Carquefou, in the north-eastern suburbs of Nantes.

More than 150 objects stolen since 2016 have in fact been recovered and are waiting to be found their owners.

On October 23, a resident of a residence in Carquefou visited a neighbor whom he suspected of theft.

To his surprise, the neighbor, aged 45, did not deny and spontaneously wanted to return many objects.

Alerted, the gendarmes proceeded the next day to a search of the suspect's home.

They discovered a large quantity of objects there from the residence, but also vehicles or letterboxes from the neighborhood.

The forty-year-old was arrested.

An investigation is open.

"Anyone likely to have been a victim of the actions of this individual on Carquefou is invited to contact the Carquefou gendarmerie on 02 40 50 87 17 or by email bta.carquefou@gendarmerie.interieur.gouv.fr", specifies the national gendarmerie .
