The first Korean female congressman has emerged in the United States.



Korean woman Marylin Strickland, who ran for Democratic Party in Washington State's 10th constituency, won a median count of 58.3 percent, defeating Washington State Congressman Beth Doglio.



Elect Strickland, whose mother is Korean, became the first Korean female congressman in the US House of Representatives and the first African American congressman in Washington State.



Congressman Andy Kim of the Democratic Party, who ran for the third constituency in New Jersey, also succeeded in re-election with a 55% vote.
