"At the moment, 170,759 residents of the Donetsk People's Republic have received citizenship of the Russian Federation," Pushilin said in a statement.
In August, Pushilin announced that 130,000 residents of the DPR had received Russian passports.
On April 24, 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the simplified acquisition of citizenship by residents of the self-proclaimed LPR and DPR.
