According to information from

La Provence

, a middle school student and two high school students, aged 14 and 16 respectively, were taken into custody at the start of the week.

The first is educated in a college in the 4th arrondissement of Marseille, the other two follow their course in Miramas.

These three arrests follow comments made during the national tribute which was paid Monday to Professor Samuel Paty.

On the sidelines of the minute of silence organized in schools, the young college student would have indicated, with reference to the assassination of the teacher, that he "would have done the same".

At Miramas high school, one of the students allegedly argued that the teacher had “looked for it”, the second refused to submit to the minute's silence.

A source close to the file tells

Provence that

none of these minors is known to the police or "from radicalized families".

According to daily information, one of the two high school students from Miramas will be summoned by the courts.

Contacted by

, the Marseille prosecutor's office adds that the schoolboy's custody has been extended and that the decision on possible prosecutions "will be taken during the day".
