The United States Congress will continue to have a Democratic majority,
albeit reduced compared to the 2018 legislative elections

The election night on Tuesday served, among other things, to ratify the dominance of the progressive bench in a fundamental lower house during the term of Donald Trump - it approved an

The progressives lost at least five seats
in an election in which the entire Congress was renewed, 435 seats.
At noon on Wednesday, the political group led by Nancy Pelosi had secured 201 of the 218 seats needed to control Congress, with 49 still pending ratification and the expectation of improving the result obtained in 2018,
when they managed to regain 41 seats to 232 seats
