In France, the circulation of the virus remains very intense.

The number of hospitalizations is very high: around 1,000 per day.

Resuscitation services are saturated in several hospitals, especially in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes or in the north of France.

Transfers to certain less affected regions, such as Brittany, have taken place, others are being studied, in particular to Germany.

The number of deaths linked to Covid-19 continued to increase: 430 deaths in 24 hours announced Tuesday evening, after more than 400 the day before.

36,330 new contaminations were detected, with a positive test rate of 20.6%.

At this rate, epidemiologist Antoine Flahaut feared on Twitter that "

we exceed 100,000

cases per day at the end of the week

 ".

The number of serious cases of Covid-19 in intensive care is increasing in parallel, with 469 new admissions in 24 hours, bringing the total to 3,869 patients, for 6,400 beds available, for patients affected by the coronavirus, but also by others pathologies.

For Frédéric Valletoux, president of the Hospital Federation of France, which brings together public establishments, respecting

confinement

is an imperative: “

We continue to plead on the merits of this measure which was taken last week and to hope that this confinement allows, in clear rules and with exceptions which are as few as possible, to be able to fight the virus.

 "

Relieve some hospitals

The president of the Hospital Federation of France recalls that epidemic pressure is extremely strong in all territories, including certain territories in particular such as the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region or the Hauts-de-France.

“

Inter-regional transfers, even with border countries, will relieve the pressure on establishments.

These transfers are necessary if we want the hospital lines in certain regions to hold.

We know that in Hauts-de-France, it is envisaged in the coming days, the possibilities of evacuating patients with Germany.

We are therefore resuming the transfers of patients that we had already seen in the spring, especially with Germany.

 "

Globally, the Covid-19 epidemic has killed at least 1.2 million people and Europe is the region where it is progressing the fastest, with more than 284,000 deaths.

With 52,518 cases reported Monday, November 2 in France, I fear that we will exceed 100,000 cases / day at the end of the week (Friday or Saturday).

The French must understand that they must limit contact at all costs, much more strictly than they do today
