UAE sends an aid plane to Tunisia to support its efforts to combat 'COVID-19'

Within the framework of the efforts made by the UAE to help sisterly Arab countries, an aid plane containing 11 tons of medical supplies and respirators was sent yesterday to the Republic of Tunisia, and more than 11,000 health care workers will benefit from them, to enhance their efforts to contain the spread of the virus. The UAE ambassador to Tunisia, Rashid Muhammad Jumah Al-Mansouri, said, "The UAE and the Republic of Tunisia have had a common development vision for several decades, embodied in strong bilateral relations, and through the exchange of experiences and coordination in many areas of interest to the two countries."

He added: “In the context of the UAE’s keenness to provide support to its brothers in light of the difficult conditions that the region and the world are going through as a result of the outbreak of the new Corona virus, a medical aid plane was dispatched to the Tunisian Republic to support the health sector and contribute to strengthening the medical capabilities of the medical and nursing staff, and providing more Protection for her in the face of the emerging corona virus ».

It is worth noting that, as of yesterday, the UAE provided more than 1592 tons of aid to more than 119 countries, benefiting about 1.5 million medical workers.
