Two weeks ago, Uppsala County became the first in the country to introduce local stricter councils.

After that, the number of patients who need medical care increased, not least in the intensive care unit for those who are most ill.

- We have positive samples of ten to fifteen percent, which is twice as much as when we discussed introducing restrictions.

So unfortunately we see no effect of them, says Fredrik Sund.

"Last chance"

Due to the increasing pressure on healthcare, the Uppsala Region has once again gone into staff mode, a way to be able to quickly change care and gather strength where needed.

Staff has already been moved between departments, but now a third covid department is also being opened.

- If someone has not understood that it is serious now;

it's serious now.

We will end up in a situation like this spring, so this is the last chance to stop this.

Keep your distance, says Fredrik Sund.

In the clip above, he talks about the pressure on covid care, the spread of infection and the staff situation.
