He had been missing since Wednesday afternoon after being swept away by a wave during a family walk on the island of Ouessant (Finistère).

The lifeless body of a 10-year-old boy was found Monday afternoon on Yusin beach in the northwest of the island, we learned this Tuesday morning from the departmental gendarmerie company of Brest .

Earlier in the morning, the child's body had already been seen between two waters.

A Civil Security Dragon helicopter then took off with two divers.

Unfortunately, once there, they had not been able to find any trace of the body due to the appalling weather conditions.

He was finally found on a beach located about two kilometers from the Créac'h lighthouse where the tragedy took place.

The child's body was transported by helicopter at the end of the afternoon to the forensic institute of the Cavale Blanche hospital in Brest.
