His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, raised the UAE flag today (Tuesday), in accordance with the annual tradition established by His Highness to celebrate the state’s flag coinciding with the anniversary of the inauguration of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan The head of state, may God protect him, reins in power in the country, which falls on the third of November of every year.



His Highness raised the state’s flag at the ceremony organized by the “Watani Al Emarat” foundation in the courtyard of the Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, under the slogan “Proud of you”. This year's “Flag Day” celebrations were devoted to celebrating the heroes of the first line of defense and their efforts and demonstrated Dedication to serve the nation and protect its people from the emerging corona virus.  



On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum affirmed that on Flag Day we celebrate the values ​​with which the Emirates reached the peaks of distinction in various fields, the most important of which is the value of giving, which was evident in its best form this year in what was presented by the people of the Emirates and those residing on its land of the most noble forms of solidarity. Cooperation, sacrifice and generosity within an epic in which they lined up side by side in the face of a great global challenge, showing unparalleled courage in addressing that challenge with full loyalty and belonging to this good land and under its banner that has raised their efforts at all times.



His Highness said: "The flag of the Emirates is high, with the high dignity of its people, the cohesion of its people, and the giving of its society ... the flag of our country will remain in flux with sincere efforts that reach night and day to preserve the nation, ensure its safety and protect its capabilities ... We renew our salutations to the soldiers of the first line of defense who have written with their efforts a glorious epic of giving that we cherish and appreciate and will remain illuminated. In the record of the UAE’s achievements, the UAE is a model for generations and an incentive for it to strive in the service of the nation and elevate its status .. We thank everyone who voluntarily contributed to this community effort that was crowned by the flag of the Emirates, under which the wills were united and everyone around it to present the finest examples of dedication and dedication in helping our people and confirming the safety of its members.



His Highness added: "The advancement of the nation depends on the ability of its children to give ... and the citizens and residents of our country have set an example and example in giving and cohesion, each in his position and each according to his specialization ... No one spared time or effort, but everyone competed to be at the forefront of the ranks


to fulfill the duty to keep our country immune." In front of all challenges, His Highness called on everyone to continue working in the spirit of one team to overcome this stage and resume the march of development for a better future for our country, our region, and the world around us, so that the UAE flag always remains a symbol of good and a sign of hope for a tomorrow in which everyone enjoys causes of goodness, prosperity and peace.



The flag-raising ceremony at the headquarters of the Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences was attended by Dirar Belhoul Al Falasi, Executive Director of the "Watani Al Emarat" Foundation, with the participation of a number of leaders of the participating entities within the first line of defense in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, and representatives of work teams.
