Local migration introduction site for young people Launched by the Cabinet Office November 4, 4:22

In order to encourage the younger generation to think about migration to rural areas, the Cabinet Office has launched a site that introduces the lifestyles of those who have migrated.

The website "Iikamo Rural Living" was launched by the Cabinet Office in October.

The site introduces the lifestyles of young people, such as men who moved to Niigata City due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection and women who run an old folk house cafe in Hayakawa Town, Yamanashi Prefecture.

In addition, information on sites for finding a job or a place to live at the destination is also posted.

According to a survey conducted by the Cabinet Secretariat in January, nearly 40% of people in their 20s and about 36% of people in their 30s living in the Tokyo area are interested in migration but have not taken action.

Sakamoto, the minister in charge of regional revitalization, said, "I hope that this site will lead to the realization of a decentralized society by investigating where to live and where to work and having them put it into practice." ..
