The conflict rages between President Donald Trump and his Democratic rival, Joe Biden, two days before the US presidential elections, especially in swing states that can resolve the race to the White House.

While the main Democratic candidate vowed to be defeated in the upcoming elections scheduled for next Tuesday, November 3, Trump continued to question the vote by mail.

"Only three days will separate Americans from putting an end to the Trump administration, which has fueled hatred and strengthened the division in the country," Biden said at a Michigan rally.

Biden added that about 23 million Americans are unemployed, and that one in every 5 small companies has closed its doors, and that millions are at risk of being fired.

On the other hand, Trump participated, on Sunday, in 5 election rallies that were held in 5 states that are considered crucial in the presidential elections, two days before the due date, as part of his endeavor to prove again the incorrectness of the polls that suggest the victory of his rival, Joe Biden.

Trump again urged his supporters to vote in person, stressing the need to announce the winner in the elections on the evening of November 3.

Trump warned that the Supreme Court's decision to approve an extension of voting by mail 3 days after the official polling date would open the way to bad things, referring to the possibility of tampering with ballot papers.

Trump confirmed to a rally in Michigan that he would win the state's votes again.

He added that he will stay 4 more years in the special place called the White House, according to him.

He pointed out that what he described as corrupt politicians, such as Joe Biden, were the reason for his candidacy in the 2016 presidential election.

Announcing the victory

In a related context, the Axios news site quoted 3 well-informed sources as saying that President Trump informed those close to him that he intends to announce his early victory on Tuesday, in case there are indications of his advancing over his rival, Joe Biden.

The site indicated that Trump will not wait for the results of the electoral college to be announced in major states such as Pennsylvania, if this will be delayed due to the delay in the vote counting processes there.

The site added that Trump had announced in his private councils that he intended to deliver a speech on Tuesday night announcing his victory for a second term, noting that those close to Trump believed that this would happen if the initial results showed his progress or victory in one of the crucial states.

Biden

leads In the latest Reuters / Ipsos poll, Biden is ahead of Trump by 51%, compared to 43% for Trump.

Trump is 5 points behind in Pennsylvania and 9 in both Michigan and Wisconsin, the 3 crucial states that helped him win the electoral college votes in 2016, but opinion polls show that the race is still unresolved in Florida, North Carolina and Arizona.

But even without Michigan and Wisconsin, Trump could win again if he keeps all the other states he won in 2016.

Trump's decline in opinion polls is due - in part - to the erosion of support from two major components of his voter base: whites without a college degree and the elderly.

More than 93 million Americans cast their votes early, either in person or by mail, and the vote rate was record high in a number of states, compared to what it was in 2016, especially in Texas.

According to the US Elections Project website, the percentage of registered Democratic voters was 45%, compared to 30% of Republican voters, in states that declare the party affiliation of the electorate.

Medical criticism of Trump

With the escalation of cases of Coronavirus, Anthony Fauci, director of the American Institute of Infectious Diseases and a member of the Coronavirus Cell, criticized the Trump administration’s strategy to manage the epidemic crisis, which prompted the White House to respond to it.

Fauci, the president's most prominent advisor on the epidemic, said in an interview with the "Washington Post" published Saturday that the United States could not be "in a worse position" to face the acceleration of the spread of Corona cases.

He indicated that Trump is no longer taking his advice and now prefers neuroradiologist Scott Atlas, who supports a wide reopening of American society, rather than strengthening preventive measures.

"Suddenly, they no longer want to listen to our message because it does not correspond to what they want to do," Fauci said, noting that he had not spoken with the president for weeks.

And he spoke about a big difference between the White House's approach to confronting the epidemic and that of the Democratic candidate, Joe Biden, who takes the epidemic seriously from a public health point of view.

For his part, Judd Deere, a member of the White House media team, considered Fauci's comments "unacceptable."

He said that Fauchi "broke norms by choosing, 3 days before the elections, to play politics."

The United States recorded a record, Friday, of new infections with the new Corona virus in 24 hours, amounting to more than 94 thousand cases and about a thousand deaths in one day.

In mid-October, during a conference call, President Trump described Fauci as a "disaster," adding, "People are saying leave us alone. They are tired. Tired of listening to Fauci and all these idiots."
