The Emirates Space Agency and the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center announced the launch of the 'Generation of Hope' initiatives within the UAE project to explore Mars, the 'Probe of Hope', aimed at developing the spirit of exploration and scientific research among young people and students, and enhancing their passion for space science and engineering and scientific research. During lectures, workshops, open meetings and educational camps run by members of the "Hope Probe" team.

The Generation of Hope initiatives include the establishment of two awareness camps in December and January. December camp will host workshops and interactive activities for high school and middle school students on Mars and space exploration, and the latest developments regarding the UAE project to explore Mars "The Hope Probe". The camp will last for five days, and it is open to students ranging from Their ages are between 12 and 18 years old.

In early January, an intensive and specialized two-day camp will be launched under the title "Journey to Mars" for distinguished university students in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, where the scientific team in the UAE Project for the Exploration of Mars "Probe of Hope" will inform them of their experiences and expertise related to scientific research in the field of space science. And Mars, and this camp, which will be held in two consecutive sessions, is characterized by the transfer of the knowledge of the scientific team to the students who will be selected and the advancement of their capabilities.

The interactive series of activities includes the Education Ambassadors Program, which was launched in 2015 and is designed to prepare teachers of science, technology, engineering and mathematics specializations in various schools in the country, to be “ambassadors of education” in the educational initiatives of the UAE Mars Exploration Project “Probe of Hope”.

The project will provide teachers with the necessary educational materials to educate and train male and female students so that those who wish to become a new generation of space scientists and engineers, and the program will launch next December the Education Ambassador competition, titled Newton STEM Challenge, which aims to benefit from the creativity of teachers in the process of developing activities. Teachers design a game, experiment, or activity to explain Newton's laws of motion based on current curricular learning objectives.

Under the umbrella of "Hope Generation" initiatives, starting this November, a series of virtual sessions will be hosted online entitled "The Scientific Journey of the Hope Probe", in which a scientific overview of the probe's mission in its journey to explore the Red Planet will be presented, in addition to the scientific tools that have been developed. By the team, as well as information on how the various data that the probe will collect will be used.

An introductory session for a series of virtual seminars will be held on the fourth of November, and an extended session will be held the following week. Registration for attending the seminars is available on the official website of the UAE Project for Mars Exploration «Probe of Hope» www.emmn.ae/ gen-hope.

Every two-week sessions will be held in Arabic and English with the team of the Emirates Mars Exploration Project "The Hope Probe", in which the different concepts of the probe systems and space science will be explained, as well as the roles and tasks of the team members.

The director of the UAE project to explore Mars, Imran Sharaf, said that the initiatives of the generation of hope are in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to create a community culture based on scientific research, knowledge production and making a shift. Quality through the Hope Probe project to encourage young people to increase their interest in the fields of science and technology.
