As of the 31st, the average number of new cases per day in the United States for seven days was 78,380, an increase of 128.2% from the relative low of September 12, and the number of hospitalized patients with new coronary pneumonia was 47,374, which was 65.6% higher than the low of September 20. .
Some experts have warned that the surge in newly confirmed cases may exceed the carrying capacity of medical institutions, leading to a rapid increase in deaths.
Jonathan Reiner, a professor of medicine at George Washington University, believes that in the next two to three weeks, the number of new deaths in the United States may rise to 2,000.
