According to preliminary data, the cause of death of the children was carbon monoxide poisoning.

“Parents were not at home at the time of the incident: the father was at work, the mother, being intoxicated, was with a friend,” - follows from the press release.

The woman was charged under three articles of the Criminal Code of Russia: causing death by negligence to two or more persons, leaving them in danger and improperly fulfilling the duties of raising minors.

"The court granted the request of the investigator to choose a preventive measure against her in the form of detention," the UK added.

The family was registered with preventive bodies, the parents of the deceased children had already been brought to administrative responsibility for failure to fulfill their responsibilities for raising minors.

And in May 2019, the family was recognized as being in a socially dangerous situation.

In this regard, a pre-investigation check has begun against officials of the prevention system.
