Unusually mild and wet in Västernorrland during October

There are more reasons why it has been such a mild October.

Because it has not only been mild but also wet in the county over the past month.

In percentage terms, it has rained locally three times as much as the normal amount.

When will the snow come then?

The first official snow depth for the season was measured at 1 centimeter on October 18 in Ulvsjön. On October 21, large parts of the county were covered in snow, with the exception of the coastal area. On October 28, there was bare ground throughout the county again and as it looks now, the mild air will remain even during the first days of November.
