Russians most often bought plane tickets to Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sochi.

The ten most popular destinations also include the southern cities: Krasnodar, Simferopol, Rostov-on-Don.

At the same time, service specialists recorded a general decrease in prices for air tickets to major cities of Russia.

So, compared to the same period in 2019, the average price of a one-way ticket to Moscow fell by 40% and amounted to 4.2 thousand rubles, to St. Petersburg - by 35%, to 3.9 thousand rubles, and a ticket in Sochi has fallen in price by 15%, and now its cost is 4.3 thousand rubles.

The most popular destinations for train travel in October 2020 were Moscow and St. Petersburg, with Krasnodar closing the top three.

Nizhny Novgorod, Sochi and Yekaterinburg were also among the demanded railway directions.

A decrease in ticket prices was also noted in the case of train tickets.

Thus, the average price for a ticket to Moscow fell by 8% and amounted to 2.2 thousand rubles, to St. Petersburg - by 3% (to 2.9 thousand rubles), to Krasnodar - by 15% (to 1.1 thousand rubles).

Analysts also noted that in October, Russians retained their interest in southern destinations, despite the end of the holiday season.

Earlier, the Russians named the best cities in the country for travel in the fall.

Among them were St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don and Volgograd.
