Earlier this week, the Swedish Public Health Agency issued stricter general advice.

One of them was to refrain from being shown in indoor environments such as museums, libraries and bathhouses.

In Stockholm, politicians chose to first stay open while following the situation.

It has now been decided that the City Museum, the Medieval Museum and Liljevalch's Art Gallery will be closed from 1 November to 19 November.

Open a library

However, the libraries are still open.

- They have a socially important function, says Councilor for Cultural Affairs Jonas Naddebo (C).

But he urges Stockholmers not to visit them but to try to do as much as possible digitally.

Restrictions in bathhouses and sports halls

The municipal sports halls and bathhouses will not be closed, but restrictions will be introduced.

- As of tomorrow (Sunday), we will cancel all group training sessions, says Sports Citizens' Councilor Karin Ernlund (C).

Public riding in the ice rinks is also stopped.

Karin Ernlund says that everyone will be offered to pause their annual cards until New Year's free of charge.

- We appeal to all adults not to visit our swimming pools.

However, association activities for children and young people will continue.
