Scotland beat defending champion Wales (14-10) on the last day of the 2020 Six Nations Tournament on Saturday after a fairly closed match on Saturday in Llanelli.

Thanks to this third consecutive success in the Tournament - a first since 1996 for the XV thistle - Scotland temporarily takes second place in the standings tied with Ireland, but ahead of the points difference.

The final victory will be played between England, which moves to Italy a little later, and France and Ireland who face each other in the evening.

It is also Scotland's first success in Wales since 2002.

In a contested match with a capricious wind which did not help to have quality kicking play on both sides, each team scored a try on penetrating tucks, Wales in the 31st to take the advantage (7-3) and the visitors on time to take it back (11-7) definitively.

The teammates of Racing 92 opener Finn Russell, released after half an hour of play on injury, spoiled the beautiful day of the second row, Alun Wyn Jones (35), who broke the world record for selections international for a Rugby player with 149 capes.

"Congratulations to Scotland, the way they pulled off this success proves their game plan" based on a big battle ahead, admitted handsome player Wyn Jones at the microphone of the BBC.

"We have no excuse, I think we were better at certain points in the game, but it was not enough," he added.

For the XV leek, who changed coach in the winter with the arrival of Wayne Pivac in place of Warren Gatland, it is also the worst Tournament since 2007, with an easy victory against Italy (42 -0) at the opening, but then 4 setbacks, to which we can add the 38 to 21 cashed last week in Paris in a test match.
