Nooshi Dadgostar became active in the youth union Ung Vänster in 1999, has studied law and has been a member of parliament since 2014. Until today, she has been the Left Party's deputy party chairman.
At the end of September, she was nominated by the party's nomination committee as the next party chairman after Jonas Sjöstedt.
During the congress, they justified their decision by describing Nooshi Dadgostar as a candidate with strong integrity, high work capacity and with communicative and strategic qualities.
The decision to elect Nooshi Dadgostar as the new party leader was unanimous.
