An Orthodox priest was injured in a shooting incident in Lyon, France, this evening, Saturday, while the attacker fled, according to the "Reuters" news agency.

A source in the French police said that the priest, who holds Greek citizenship, was shot at around four o'clock in the evening local time while he was closing the church.

The source indicated that the priest is receiving treatment for life-threatening injuries, and he is now in a critical health condition.
