In his home country, a specialized work team was formed immediately, and legal measures were taken to issue permission from the Dubai Public Prosecution to arrest and search the accused, in addition to searching their vehicle and their residence.

He added, "The two Asian men were placed under close surveillance in preparation for their arrest, as the two sought to change the place of concealment of drugs repeatedly and transfer them from one place to another, but all their movements were under the supervision of the anti-drug personnel 24 hours."

He stated that "the anti-narcotics officers in the Dubai police set the zero hour to arrest the two Asians, as they had taken the drugs from their last hiding place, put them in the black bag, and then moved them to another area using a vehicle."

He continued, "After they got out of the vehicle, they were raided by the anti-drug agents, and they were arrested in possession of the black bag that was found to contain 40 kilograms of crystal," he said. "They agreed that they were planning to deliver it to another person who would later inform them of his name by the gang leader."

He added: “The first accused (the cousin of the gang leader) admitted that he is seeking from behind this process to put an end to his deteriorating financial condition, confirming that he contacted his cousin asking him to include him in one of his black works, seeking to find for himself additional income, so he agreed to involve him in The crime in return for receiving 30 thousand dirhams, and that his mission is to transport drugs from one place to another and deliver them to someone.

He continued: “As for the second accused, he tried to justify the crime of assisting the first in transporting narcotic toxins from one place to another, claiming that he would not receive material compensation for his efforts, and this is a claim that will not be interceded for him before the strict and resolute UAE law against anyone who is begging him to promote narcotic poisons.”

Brigadier General Eid Muhammad Thani Hareb called on members of the public for the initiative to contact the administration at number 901 to report any drug-related matter or suspicion of any criminal act.
