Austria to restrict going out Over 5,000 daily infections New Corona November 1, 4:31

Austria in central Europe has announced that it will impose curfew and other restrictions on going out from the 3rd of this month as the infection with the new coronavirus is spreading again.

In Austria, the number of confirmed daily infections with the new coronavirus exceeded 5,300 on October 31, and the number is increasing again.

Regarding this, Prime Minister Kurtz held a press conference on the night of the 31st and announced that he would restrict going out throughout Austria from November 3rd to 30th in order to stop the spread of the infection.

Specifically, it means that the business of restaurants is prohibited, the business of hotels for sightseeing purposes is prohibited, and the holding of events is also prohibited.

From 8:00 pm to 6:00 am, going out at night is basically prohibited except for work reasons and walking for health purposes.

Along with this, the government plans to pay 80% of the sales for November last year in order to compensate companies affected by the restrictions on going out.

This is the second time Austria has imposed large-scale restrictions on going out nationwide since March.

The Austrian government has expressed a sense of urgency that the number of beds in the intensive care unit could reach its limit in the middle of this month if the infection continues to spread at the current pace, increasing the burden on medical institutions. At the meeting, the Prime Minister appealed to the public for cooperation in tightening regulations.
