At Gamla kyrkogården in Uppsala, there are usually a lot of people visiting the memorial grove and strolling around after dark during All Saints' Day.

- Many people came in the evening to see the candles, but fewer than usual, says Thommy Mathson, group manager at the cemeteries in Uppsala.

It rained a little in the afternoon but in the evening it stopped.

- It has been calmer.

We also see this in the sale of candles.

In order to avoid that there could be too many gathered in a small area on All Saints' Day, the Church of Sweden had, among other things, arranged digital memorial services.

At the Old Cemetery, the number of participants was also really limited in the chapel.

Has there been any congestion?

- It was probably a bit close in the memorial grove for a period.

But we were not in so much and watched and crowded.

- Everything has gone really well, says Thommy Mathson at the Church of Sweden.
