This Friday, the young man accused of having shot firefighters during an intervention in Mons-en-Barœul will be tried before the Lille criminal court.

His act had caused no injuries.

Wednesday, around 8:30 p.m., a crew of six firefighters intervened at the foot of an apartment building for the fire of a vehicle parked in the parking lot.

For his own safety and despite his opposition, the man was pushed back by firefighters.

The latter received threats before the individual decided to leave.

But he returned a few minutes later, "equipped with two rubber bullet defense pistols," said the prosecution.

He shot at the firefighters, who fled by retreating into their vehicle.

None of them were injured.

The firefighters warned the police.

Forces were sent there, including a Raid team.

The shooter could be identified and the elite police arrested him and his partner later that evening at his home.

The respondent, aged about twenty, was taken into custody.

During his hearings, he "admitted the facts" affirms the Lille prosecutor.

He was referred this Friday morning to the Lille prosecutor's office and will be tried in immediate appearance during the day.
