The waste operations at the Dannemora mining area have been running since the beginning of the summer when they were approved by Östhammar municipality to sort waste there.

The business has demands from Östhammar municipality and they have to cover the piles of waste because the rubbish risks flying around in the wind.

If they do not cover the piles, fines threaten.

- They have until November 6 to cover this.

If not, then we have to rethink, says Johan Nilsson, environmental manager at Östhammar municipality.

Bankruptcy application

The company is also involved in a suspected environmental crime scandal that is being investigated.

The company's CEO has now submitted an application for bankruptcy.

SVT Uppsala has applied for the company but has not been contacted.
