Recently, Shimla, the capital of India's Himachal Pradesh, has been attacked by thousands of monkeys every day.
In recent years, Himachal Pradesh has neutered about 150,000 monkeys. Local experts say this is the "only way" to control the problem, but neither the sterilization nor the poisonous bait has prevented the monkeys from frequently attacking residents and farms.
Local resident Kuldeep Chand Sood said, “I was sitting on the patio of my house yesterday, and suddenly a monkey came out and jumped down and bit me.”
He also said, "In the past week, monkeys have come here very frequently. Monkeys bite people and people are very scared, but people don't know what to do."
