As specified, the attack took place in the church of Notre Dame.
Earlier it became known about two dead and several wounded in the attack in Nice.
The alleged assailant has been detained.
The Mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, wrote on his Twitter page that all the circumstances of the incident indicate that the attack is a terrorist act.
