The documentary series Soon 13, is far from the surface and celebrities.

On the contrary, it's about reality - the tingle in front of the teenage world with ingredients such as friendship, love and school.

- It feels incredibly fun that the response from the viewers has been so great.

Many describe that they like the series because they recognize themselves and because it is genuine.

That is exactly our goal with the series, to portray the ordinary and important life when you are almost 13 years old, says producer Madeleine Adaktusson.

Focus on ordinary life

This season of Soon 13 is, for example, about what it's like to go to a small school, get teased for being in love or what it's like to drive a tractor.

The gang also shares personal stories, such as what it can be like to have a mother who is ill with cancer.

- Today it feels more important than ever to highlight what is common, as a contrast to the increased emphasis on celebrity.

Viewers simply have to recognize themselves in something that is for real, says Peppe Andersson, editor of Snart 13.

The series premieres on Thursday 29 October at 06.00 on SVT Barn and SVT Play.
