"The consolidated team of military medical specialists of the Russian Ministry of Defense arrived in Kurgan and will begin to provide advice and treatment to patients with coronavirus infection in hospitals in the region," the statement says.

It is noted that the brigade includes military personnel with experience in diagnosing and treating patients with coronavirus, military resuscitators, pulmonologists, anesthesiologists and other specialists.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian Ministry of Defense will send military medical specialists to the Kurgan region to treat patients with COVID-19.

On October 23, the governor of the Kurgan region, Vadim Shumkov, went into self-isolation after contact with colleagues who were sick with COVID-19.
