According to the Ministry of Health of India, as of 8 a.m. local time on October 29 (10:30 Beijing time), the cumulative number of confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in India has exceeded the 8 million mark, rising to 8,040,203.
Among them, 120,527 cases died and 7,315,989 cases were cured and discharged.
India has also become the second country in the world to exceed the confirmed number of 8 million.

Among all administrative regions, there are currently 19 states and regions with more than 100,000 confirmed cases.
Among them, the most severe cases are Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
