"Today, Deputy Minister of Health Evgeny Kamkin and Deputy Head of Roszdravnadzor Dmitry Pavlyukov will arrive in Omsk to audit the situation with the organization of medical care to citizens and set up patient routing," Health Minister Mikhail Murashko quotes TASS.

As reported, on Tuesday evening, October 27, two ambulances brought two patients, aged 70 and 85, with suspected COVID-19 and severe lung damage to the building of the Omsk Ministry of Health.

The doctors said that they were taking patients around the city for several hours, as hospitals refused to admit them.

The Omsk Ministry of Health said that later the patients were admitted to the hospital of emergency medical service No. 2.

On the fact of the incident, an official investigation was started, the work of the ambulance service was taken under special control.

The governor of the Omsk region, Alexander Burkov, also commented on the incident with the ambulances in Omsk.
