Viennese people can get the flu shot for free in a tram, parked, depending on the day, in different places in the city.
The municipality has indeed launched a vast flu vaccination campaign to prevent hospitals, mobilized by the coronavirus, from being overwhelmed.

To get the flu vaccine for free, Viennese people have a choice: they can go to partner medical practices or to centers set up by the city, one of which is a tram.
Parked this morning in the city center, many Viennese come to be vaccinated there.

It's good, because it's not complicated.
Normally when you go to the doctor you have to wait, sometimes with other patients in the same room.
Here, this is not the case.

Relieve the doctors
This operation is part of a vast campaign launched by Vienna to triple the flu vaccination rate and reach 25% in order to relieve doctors and hospitals, already mobilized by the coronavirus, explains Peter Hacker, in charge of health at the municipality .

We have not yet reached the maximum capacities of our hospitals, but it is necessary to be prepared and to consider the worst scenario,
assures Peter Hacker who wants to be vigilant.
We therefore obtained three times more doses of vaccines than in previous years, ie over 400,000.
"
Nearly 85,000 people have already signed up to be vaccinated as part of this campaign.
This tram will be in place until November 13.
The campaign will continue until March 2021.
