A majority of the US Senate has voted for Amy Coney Barrett as a new judge in the Supreme Court, which means that there are now six Conservative judges and three Liberals.

- Donald Trump is dependent on getting a record high turnout among conservative voters and this is an issue that reminds voters of what he actually achieved as president, says Stefan Åsberg, US correspondent, to SVT News.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that postal voting, which many Democratic voters have used, leads to electoral fraud.

According to Stefan Åsberg, there is a reason why he was concerned that the vote on Coney Barrett would be completed before election day.

Can stop the conversion

- The Supreme Court can stop the counting of votes in states.

That was done in 2000 when Democrat Al Gore and Republican George W Bush resigned from the presidency.

The Supreme Court then decided to stop the recalculation in Florida, which ruled in favor of Bush.

Another high-profile issue that will soon be raised in the Supreme Court is parts of the Obamacare health care reform.

- This is a mandatory part which means that if you do not have health insurance, you can be fined.

If that part is rejected, it basically means that you dissolve Obamacare, says Stefan Åsberg.
