As soon as the U.S. bombers stationed in Guam, they are now in the waters near Taiwan

[Global Times Special Correspondent Chen Shan] Taiwan’s "United Daily News" said on the 25th that a picture released by the Twitter account "Aircraft Watch", which specializes in recording the dynamics of military aircraft, showed that two US military B-1B "Lancer" strategic bombers moved from Guam on the same day. Take off and fly towards the southeast waters of Taiwan.

According to the report, "Aircraft Watch" declared on social media: "U.S. Air Force B-1B bombers (codenamed HUGE01 and 02) depart from Anderson Air Force Base in Guam for the South China Sea. U.S. Air Force KC-135R (codenamed PEARL11) provided refueling support." The report also mentioned that "Airplane Watch" also released news on September 25 that two US B-1B bombers took off from Anderson Air Force Base in Guam and flew toward the northwest of Taiwan.

In response to Taiwanese media reports on the US bomber's presence in the southeastern waters of Taiwan, Taiwan’s “Air Force Command” spokesperson Chen Guohua said on the 25th that “Taiwan Air Force will not comment on the information on civilian aircraft military websites and third-party military developments.” .

It is worth noting that the two B-1Bs, which are currently in the southeastern waters of Taiwan, just arrived in Guam a few days ago.

The US "Stars and Stripes" reported on the 24th that four B-1B strategic bombers entered the Guam base on the 21st local time before the US-Japan "Sharp Sword" joint exercise.

On the way to Guam, these bombers conducted joint exercises with American amphibious assault ships deployed in the Western Pacific and F-15 and F-2 fighters of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces.

This move shows that the U.S. Air Force is changing its tactics to enable strategic bombers to take off from a wider range of locations, making opponents unpredictable.

Regarding the passage of US military aircraft and ships across the Taiwan Strait, the spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has clearly stated that the Taiwan issue concerns China's sovereignty and territorial integrity and is the most important and sensitive issue in Sino-US relations.

We urge the US to abide by the one-China principle and the provisions of the three Sino-US joint communiqués, and handle Taiwan-related issues prudently and properly so as not to damage Sino-US relations and the peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait.
