Yangguang Net, October 26 (Reporter Wang Ruitao) Made by Meimen, born in Changde, Hunan, born in 1933, joined the army in August 1949, has long been engaged in military cultural and artistic work, and has won many awards in military art performances, 5 times Rong Li third class merit.

In the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, he was a member of the 38th Army Art Team of the Chinese People's Volunteers and rushed to the most dangerous front line, singing war hymns for the soldiers, inspiring the morale of the soldiers, and giving full play to the unique role of the art light cavalry in the battlefield.

In a retreat in Fengtai District, Beijing, the reporter met with the 87-year-old volunteer soldier Meimenzo.

At the beginning of the interview, Mei Lao hummed the single-string "Young Hero Pan Tianyan" for reporters.

Meimenzao: In the case of "Young Hero Pan Tianyan", Pan Tianyan repelled the enemy's nine assaults by himself before the follow-up troops rushed forward.

When he returned to the company to rest after the battle, I went to interview him.

After the fourth battle, our troops were all transferred to the periphery of Pyongyang and rested there.

That's when I received a notice to return to Beijing to learn Quyi.

In the process of learning folk art, based on the notes of the interview with Pan Tianyan, I wrote a single-stringed piece "Young Hero Pan Tianyan".

"Young Hero Pan Tianyan" is a famous work made by Meimen and won the second prize in the first art performance of the army in 1952.

The old man Meimenzao said that this was his most frequent show for soldiers on the front lines of the Korean War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea.

Umemenzao: In the frontline, one person, one stage, unlike singing and dancing, you need a lot of people to sing and dance.

This form of single string is the lightest and most convenient and most suitable to be staged on the battlefield to resist US aggression and aid Korea.

At that time in the tunnel, the soldiers were crawling in the tunnel, I was kneeling on the ground to sing to them.

Two of us, one of us, and a four-hued accompaniment to me, the two of us is a cultural engineering team, running all over the mountain.

It is to serve the soldiers with such a light and easy form of literature and art.

The art troupe walked across the river to the company to perform

At that time, after the fifth battle, the Chinese and North Korean armies and the United Nations formed a confrontation situation near the 38th parallel.

Volunteers who stick to the tunnels must fight the enemy under extremely difficult living conditions.

Mei Menzao said that at that time, the singing of the civilian workers was the favorite voice of the volunteers, and the art work in the field was the spiritual gas station for the soldiers.

Umemenzao: Because the environment is too difficult, including our lesbians, there is no need to perform when going to the battlefield. With a red-headed rope tied to the black hair, the soldiers are very happy to see it. It's like this under the difficult situation.

Relatives are here, no matter what your show is, they are happy to shout two slogans.

In a short period of time, Umemenzao and his comrades ran across the hills and tunnels on the front line of the battlefield to resist US aggression and aid Korea.

No matter how dangerous the place is, they will go, no matter how difficult the conditions are, they will also sing. Wherever there are soldiers, they will sing.

Umemenzo: Our slogan is not to leave behind. Now that we are on the battlefield, everyone on the battlefield must see our performance.

At the outpost, the place closest to the enemy, the place I went was only 50 meters away from the enemy, so I could see each other.

At this post, one person has to stand guard, one has to sleep, and one is on the move.

In this way, we perform two shows, because when we sing to these two people, one of them will be on duty there to monitor the enemy.

When he comes back from duty and changes to another person, he will perform another show.

After four battles, the uniforms of the cultural workers were broken and dirty. The back row was made by a plum gate on the right.

Theatrical performances, propaganda and agitation are only part of the tasks of the cultural workers.

Especially when they first entered North Korea, the enemy occupied air supremacy. Volunteers wanted to wipe out the enemy during the movement. They did not have the conditions to carry out literature and art work. The cultural workers were responsible for a large number of battlefield duties such as transporting supplies and evacuation of the wounded.

In the second battle, Mei Menzao undertook an unforgettable task of evacuation of the wounded.

Umemenzo: Our 113th division was ordered to insert behind the enemy from the top of the mountain and guard the opening.

At that time, the place was called the dressing house, where many wounded were gathered.

The four of us were ordered to send the wounded to the field hospital.

In this way, we have to be nurses, doctors, nurses, cooks. We do everything.

Through the cordon

In order to avoid the enemy, Meimenzao and a former migrant worker stretcher team took more than 100 light and severely wounded people to trek through the deserted snow-capped mountains.

The weather was cold and the road was rough and difficult to navigate. Meimenzao, who was only 17 years old, kept wrestling. Once he fell heavily, and when he struggled a few times but still couldn't get up, his tears flowed in despair. Come down.

Mei Menzao: At this time, a local party branch secretary was the branch secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea. She knew that we were going to cross the snow-capped mountains, so she took the initiative to help us.

When she saw us crying, she pulled me up and said comforting words as she walked, which made people feel very warm.

She later taught me a song and I learned it.

The song sings like this: "Armani, Armani, your son is far from his hometown, on the cold 38th line, hold my gun, everything is for the victory of the motherland, bravely attack for the people, wait for me, dear Armani, Bring home victory."

Due to the enemy's blockade, after reaching the predetermined location, Mei Menzao discovered that the comrades from the field hospital had not arrived.

Along the way, although he and his comrades tried their best to take care of the wounded, some severely wounded soldiers died unfortunately.

Meimenzao: Especially for a soldier. After the sacrifice, I found a piece of paper from the pocket of his shirt and meat. It was "the first work abroad" and the "first work abroad" written by the company commander.

He has already done meritorious service when he goes abroad to fight.

There was no way. They had to be buried on the spot at that time. Where can those buried there now find?

His troops, his parents didn't even know, so they were gone, and I felt really sad.

Two Korean military medals awarded to Meimen by the North Korean government

It was after too much life and death on the battlefield that Mei Menzao later named his memoir "The Lucky Man".

Umemenzao: I am very lucky. The most dangerous time on the Korean battlefield was when I was going to deliver food to the wounded and sick. As soon as I got on the highway, the enemy's plane came over and started hitting me.

After the fight, all four planes flew away.

At this moment, I stood up and took a look. I was surrounded by bullet holes, but I was fine.

My brother was a soldier with me. He was seriously injured on the Korean battlefield and his waist was interrupted.

And I sacrificed so many comrades around me, some fell by my side, some in my arms, I held the sacrifice, but I was fine, and there was no injury at all. I was really lucky.

The single string "Young Hero Pan Tianyan" compiled and performed by Meimen went back to Beijing to participate in the first art performance of the whole army, and won the second prize, and was arranged to perform in Huairentang for Chairman Mao and the central leadership

On the 10th anniversary of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea in 1960, Mei Menzao accompanied the Chinese government delegation led by Marshal He Long to visit North Korea.

Returning from the battlefield to resist US aggression and aid Korea, Mei Menzao entered the original Zongzheng Song and Dance Ensemble and successively visited the Soviet Union, Eastern European countries, Myanmar and North Korea.

In 1960, on the 10th anniversary of the War of Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Umemenzao followed the government delegation led by Marshal He Long to North Korea again and stepped onto the stage to perform a chorus show in Korean.

Umemenzao: That time I sang a Korean song in North Korea, what did you sing?

Their embassy proposed to us to sing a "Secret Agent Very Satisfied with Early Inspection", which is a company-level cadre on duty who was satisfied with the internal affairs inspection and asked me to lead the song.

The temporary task was rehearsed for about a week.

Marshal Kim Il Sung and He Long watched the show.

I led the sing, sang a few words, and forgot the words. At that time, my head was blank and the accordion accompaniment was still ringing there. I just hummed along. Finally I remembered a Smecta. After I finished singing the Smecta , Kim Il Sung clapped loudly.

Later, Kim Il Sung came to the stage and shook hands with me. Kim Il Sung spoke very well in Chinese. He said that you forgot the word, but you handled it well. Thank you.

In 1951, Meimen made a great achievement for his combat service work (a great achievement was equivalent to the third-class achievement of the unification of the whole army).

When veteran Mei told the legendary stories that happened in North Korea, time always slipped away inadvertently, and it was almost dusk.

When the interview was about to end, the reporter asked, if life can be repeated, would he still choose to join the army?

A group photo of Mei Menzao and his wife Tian Hongsheng (a former member of the Southwest Fighting Drama Club, a female literary soldier who fought on the Korean battlefield)

The eyes of the old man, who was almost old, shone again.

Elder Mei said that if he could return to his hometown on the day of liberation, he would still make the same decision as before, singing songs and putting on the military uniform shining with red stars.

Meimenzao: The second day of the liberation of our hometown was August 1st. On August 1st, we listened to the people all over the street singing. The gongs and drums, the waist drum team, and the Yangko twisters were all happy.

We followed the Art Troupe of the 13th Corps. We followed wherever they went. They taught us how to sing. We sang along. We remembered that at the time we sang: "The sky in the liberated area is a bright sky. The people in the liberated area love it, and the democratic government loves it. People, the kindness of the Communist Party can't be finished, yell, hey..."
