Police were contacted due to a theft early on Friday afternoon last week.
A person in his 80s is said to have been sitting in his car in Gislaved when a perpetrator came and tore open the driver's door of the car and then stole her wallet.
The police have drawn up a report of aggravated theft, but at present they have not arrested any suspect for the crime.
However, there is witness information to the crime which is now classified as aggravated theft.
