Elin Cederbrant, who herself has had type 1 diabetes since the age of 10, has worked for a year and a half to create the app.

Now her work has yielded results and on Tuesday it can be downloaded for free.

- The purpose of launching the app is to give everyone living with, or close to someone with type 1 diabetes quality-assured information about the disease, says Elin cederbrant, founder of Together Against Diabetes1.

Create an understanding of the disease

The app makes it possible for users to choose different profiles based on their role.

Anyone who has the disease, or recently received their diagnosis, but also family members of the victim and school staff.

- I hope that it can be used by very many in different roles, both those who suffered but also those who have a student or patient with type 1 diabetes, says Elin Cederbrant.

The goal: launch in more languages

The app has been funded by the association Together Against Diabetes1, companies and private individuals.

Elin Cederbrant hopes that it will be equipped with more languages.

The app includes checklists, quizzes and a carbohydrate counter.

- I hope that we will soon be able to release a version 2 with dose counters, after that I hope that it can be launched in the rest of the Nordic region and in Europe, she says.
