A team of the General Administration of Civil Defense in Dubai visited a (Asian) woman who gave birth during a fire accident involving Aster Hospital in Dubai, as part of the "You Deserve Safety" initiative, which aims to visit families who have been exposed to fire accidents.

The visit of the Director of the Civil Defense Center in Al-Karamah, Major Saeed Muhammad Al Mazrouei, accompanied by a number of firefighters, included reassuring the safety of the woman and her newborn after a rescue operation carried out by a team affiliated with the center during a fire accident that the hospital was exposed to in the Mankhool area, on 28 September.

Al-Mazrouei said that the squad controlled the fire within a record time without injuries, and the process included evacuating patients from the hospital, including the woman and her newborn, who were in the operating room after the delivery process, after all necessary medical precautions were taken by the civil defense men and the nursing team in the hospital.

He added that the “You You Deserve Safety” initiative launched by the administration aims to strengthen interdependence and cooperation between the administration and the various groups of society, and reflects the values ​​and meanings of community communication included in the strategic plans of the civil defense through field visits to families who have been exposed to fire accidents and rescue operations, in addition to polling and measuring the extent of Community members' satisfaction about the role and sacrifices of firefighters and rescuers.

He stressed that the field visits contribute to strengthening the role of community civil defense, within the strategy of pioneering and distinguished community service to please society and improve the quality of life that does not stop at fire and rescue operations, but rather goes beyond that to community partnership, and to spread the culture of prevention and safety among members of society.
