“We are in solidarity with our French friends.

Turkey's recent comments on France are totally unacceptable.

We must return to respectful diplomatic relations.

We will always be together to respectfully protect freedom of expression, ”the Foreign Minister wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, Erdogan spoke about "Macron's anti-Islamic attacks" and "racist terrorism", calling the words of the French president a threat to national security.

In addition, he called on the Turkish people to boycott French goods.

France, in turn, ruled out the possibility of a boycott of Turkish goods after Erdogan's words.
